Battery co-owners Grace and Fred Tillinghast are members of the Rochester Hispanic Business Association. .

The Battery is a member of the Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce. In 2010 Battery Owners Received Gates-Chili Chamber Award: Business in the Spotlight Award. Read more…

The Battery sponsors the “Do the Right Thing” Program of the Rochester Police Department, and co-owner Grace Tillinghast is a member of their Board of Directors. The program recognizes area students for doing the right thing. Several Battery students have been recognized throughout the years.

The Battery co-owners founded in 1987 the Westside Travel League, the first of its kind in our community, to provide outstanding players -ages 8-15- in the Greater Rochester area an opportunity for better competition. Battery co-owners managed the travel league until 1997. During that decade, the travel league grew by leaps and bounds.
