Surrounded by his parents, Marilyn and Henry, his high school interim baseball coach, and Coach “T” from The Battery, Michael Jesserer signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Niagara University. He will attend Niagara with a baseball scholarship. The ceremony was held at the McQuaid High School library.
“We met Michael the first Saturday of November, 1992. He was a young boy who wanted to improve his baseball skills, and attended The Battery Winter Academy every year since then. He also started taking individual lessons. Thousands of grounders and countless hits later, this young man is about to finish high school, and his dream of playing Division I baseball will be a reality,” states Coach T who has been Michael’s private coach all these years.
“Michael played, and I should add, excelled, playing with and pitching against college players when he was not even a junior in high school”, adds Coach T who coached him as a member of the ABC Battery club for the last two summers.
Michael Jesserer is another Battery success story.
