A group of Battery students realized the dream of becoming Section V softball champions. On June 5 Pittsford-Mendon defeated Victor, and earned the first sectional title in the history of their school. Pittsford-Mendon played then the champion of Section VI, and defeated Amherst High School 6-1, thus becoming Western NY Champions.
This is an incredible journey for this group of dedicated softball players.
And like a father put it “It is the Battery’s sectional title’ because most of the players train year long at The Battery: Allison Case, Courtney Case, Brittany Grage, Danielle Grage, Mackenzie Koffenberger, Kelsey McManus, Kasey Pollot, Maddie Reese, Ali Taylor, and Hillary Upton.
