Battery Students Performance – Week of May 1st

During this week we had rain and more rain!  Some schools were able to play one or two games. Others none. When it was not raining, the fields were under water.

  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn hurled a whole game for Union Springs striking out sixteen. She also hit a home run.
  • Junior Quin Ignaszak pitched four innings for Brockport, striking out three. He also had a hit.
  • Freshman Sam Defilippo went 4 for 5, with two doubles, had two RBI and scored two runs.  Pitcher Maya Blackwell went 4 for 5, had two RBI and scored three runs.  Senior Leah Buck hit a grand slam, had four RBI and scored two runs.
  • Freshman Cody Tanis had a ht for Holley JV.
  • Freshman pitcher Sydney Bolton went 2 for 3, with a double and had one RBI for Webster Schroeder.
  • Catcher Meghan Mietlicki went 2 for 3 and had two RBI for Cal-Mum.
  • Junior Sydney Merritt scored two runs and had one RBI for Finney.
  • Junior Sam Manioci went 3 for 3, drew a walk, had one RBI and scored one run for Greece Odyssey.
  • Sophomore Karlee Stone went 3 for 3, stole three bases  and scored two runs for Brockport JV.
  • Freshman Dylan Boprey had one hit nd scored one run for Hilton JV.
  • Senior Ciera Moroz hit a double and a triple, scored two runs and had three RBI for Canandaigua.
  • Junior Olivia Spenard went 4 for 4, with four RBI for SOTA.
  • Junior Mary Gaffney had two hits for Rush Henrietta.
  • Junior pitcher Hunter Mazur had one hit and one RBI for Batavia.
  • Junior Meg Palmer went 3 for 4, with two doubles, and had for RBI for Fairport.
  • Junior Tanner Richardson had three hits, drew a walk, had two RBI and scored four runs for Cal-Mum.
  • Junior Emily Mongelli went 3 for 5 and had two RBI for Irondequoit.  Sophomore pitcher Olivia Sciarabba had two hits, including a double.
  • Sophomore Jaidyn Smith had two hits for Le Roy.
  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn had a shut out for Union Springs, striking out sixteen. She also had a hit.
  • Sophomore Toni Cunningham went 2 for 3, with a triple and three RBI for Geneva.
  • Sophomore Brooke Schmitt went 2 for 4, with a double, drew a walk, stole one base and scored one run for Hilton.
  • * Freshman Cody Tanis pitched four innings for Holley JV, striking out four.
  • Freshman catcher Lena Sassenhausen went 4 for 4, with two doubles, scored four runs and had two RBI for Wayne JV.
  • Freshman pitcher Sydney Bolton had one hit for Webster Schroeder.
  • 7th grader Sawyer Richardson drew two walks and scored two runs for Cal-Mum M.
  • Infielder Drew Olson had one triple, four doubles and drew two walks for Penfield.
  • Freshman Cody Tanis had one hit for Holley JV.
  • Senior Grace Van Horn pitched a whole game –in the rain- for Union Springs, striking out twelve.  She also had two hits.
  • Sophomore Karlee Stone went 3 for 3, stole three Bases for Brockport JV.  Teammate Sydney Ignaszakhit a double, had one RBI and scored one run.
  • 7th grader Max Calleri had one hit and two RBI for Aquinas

Coach T's strong and steady presence has always guided the Battery family and thousands of young people. We are sustained by the strength and peace of knowing he is now in God's loving hands. You are forever in our hearts and by our side.

The Battery's 33rd Anniversary

On March 2nd, 2016 The Battery celebrated its 33th anniversary of training champions.

As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to contribute to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of The Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
