Battery Students' Performances (May 27, 2012)

  • Freshman Alyssa Gillen pitched a complete game for Canandaigua, striking out six for her first varsity win.
  • Senior Courtney Clark went 4-4 for Webster Thomas and two RBI.
  • Senior Tom Freer went 3-4 for Irondequoit.
  • 7th grader Isabelle Selvek went 4-4, including a home run and two doubles for Greece Apollo M. She also had five RBI and scored one run.
  • Senior Alyssa Dixon threw a three hitter with eleven strike outs for Webster Schroeder. She was named Athlete of the Week by the D&C.
  • Junior Paige Kuebler went 2-4, with a double, for Bishop Kearney.
  • Sophomore Lexi Stiewe pitched three scoreless innings for Greece Athena, striking out seven. She also had a hit, drew a walk, had one RBI and scored one run.
  • Sophomore Marissa O'Leary had one hit, drew three walks and scored one run for Pittsford Sutherland. Sophomore Hannah Desino hit a three-run homer. Sophomore Caitlin Hanrahan had three hits, including two doubles and scored two runs.
  • Senior Leah Saavedra had two hits for Wayne.
  • Junior Desiree Gonzalez went 3-3, with a double and triple, for Greece Arcadia.
  • Sophomore Aidan Falk hit a grand slam for Mercy. Senior Nicole Rivera earned the win at the mound; she also went 4-4.
  • Sophomore Amanda Gillen had three hits and three RBI for Canandaigua.
  • Junior Ryann Sullivan hit an RBI double for Brockport.
  • Senior Courtney Clark went 3-4 with a homer for Webster Thomas. Sophomore Bree Frances had one hit.
  • Senior Jordan Sarat threw a no hitter with twelve strike outs for Caledonia Mumford. She also went 3-3 and had three RBI. Freshman Hannah Anderson had one hit, drew two walks and scored two runs. Sophomore Kelsey McMullen tripled.
  • Sophomore Lexi Stiewe had one hit and dew a walk for Greece Athena.
  • Junior Mackenzie Cleary went 3-3 with three RBI for Fairport.
  • Senior Lexi Haley threw a one hitter for Aquinas. She also went 4-4, with a triple and three run homer and had four RBI.
  • Junior Kiera Lorenzo hit an infield single, stole second and scored the winning run for Brighton. Senior Katherine Ghyzel threw a four hitter with twelve strike outs.
  • Sophomore Courtney Case had two hits and scored one run for Pittsford Mendon. Senior Anna Valentine earned the win. Junior Kelsey Julien had three hits, including two doubles.
  • Sophomore Alexa Mummery had two homeruns for Irondequoit.

*  Senior Theresa Clancy went 3-3, with a home run, gahad four RBI and scored four runs for Mercy. Senior Nicole Rivera had three hits and four RBI.  Sophomore Aidan Falk had a homerun and scored two runs

Coach T's strong and steady presence has always guided the Battery family and thousands of young people. We are sustained by the strength and peace of knowing he is now in God's loving hands. You are forever in our hearts and by our side.

The Battery turned 30!

On March 2nd, 2013 The Battery marked its 30th anniversary of training champions. As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to have contributed to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of the Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
