Courtney Fitzgerald Cardot played at St. John’s University from 1999- 2004. During her career at St. John’s, she was the MVP in 2000, 2003 and 2004.

She earned Big East accolades as Big East Rookie of the Week- April 10, 2000 for pitching 21 innings in a single game against Seton Hall University. She also was named Big East Pitcher of the Week 4 times and made the Big East All-Conference Second Team in 2004. Both in 2003 and 2004, Courtney was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Mid- Atlantic All Region Team.

She left St. John’s as the All Time Career Leader in wins (59), shut-outs (21), innings pitched (711.2) and games started (102). She also ranks in the top five in strikeouts and complete games.

After graduating, Courtney joined the St. John’s coaching staff for the 2004- 2005. She became a Battery instructor in 2007.

On April 14, 2011, Courtney was inducted into Girls Catholic High School Hall of Fame of the Diocese of Brooklyn. At The Mary Louis Academy, she had a remarkable career. A 3-year varsity starter, she had a record of 70-10, with 450 strike outs in 346 innings.

Courtney lives in Rochester with husband Andy and their daughters Irene and Ashlyn, and son Andy.

The Battery's 33rd Anniversary

On March 2nd, 2016 The Battery celebrated its 33th anniversary of training champions.

As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to contribute to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of The Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
