Battery's Daniel Erne Honored for Doing the Right Thing

Dan Erne DTRT

Battery student and Churchville Chili senior Daniel Erne was honored by the Rochester Police Department's Do the Right Thing Program.

Dan was nominated for his volunteer efforts in the community. For several years he has helped an elderly couple doing landscaping, snow removal and miscellaneous tasks. He has also received the Hands of Christ Award from St. Pius Tenth Church in Chili for his many other volunteer activities.

Dan, a pitcher, plays for the Battery ABC team, and will attend SUNY Oswego in the fall to pursue a business degree.

Congratulations, Dan!

As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to contribute to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of The Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
