2012 Students News

  • Battery student Courtney Case, a junior at Pittsford Mendon, was named Player of the Year for  All-Greater Rochester.
  • Ten Battery students have been named to the 16-player All-Greater Rochester team: Courtney Case (Pittsford Mendon); Courtney Budynas (Honeoye Falls Lima); Courtney Clark (Webster Thomas); Mackenzie Cleary (Fairport); Alissa Dixon (Webster Schroeder); Aidan Falk (Mercy); Lexi Haley (Aquinas); Riley Johnson (Greece Athena); Carly Pike (Batavia Notre Dame) and Jordan Sarat (Caledonia Mumford).
    Thirty-seven other Battery students received honorable mention.
  • Battery student Mikah McDonnell received the Gary Spear Sportsmanship Award for the 9-10 Little League in Webster.
  • Battery student Nick Ficarella, a freshman at Churchville Chili, won the Most Promising Saint Award.
  • Battery pitching student Lexi Haley, a senior at Aquinas, threw a perfect game for Aquinas on May 30.
  • Battery pitching student Callianne Robbins, a junior, threw a perfect game for Geneva.
  • Battery student Peyton Wyjad, a freshman at Gananda, drove in the winning run for her team and by doing so, a sectional title for her school.  
  • Battery student Carly Pike (Batavia Notre Dame) was named Class D Player of the Year.
  • Battery student Jordan Sarat, a senior pitcher at Caledonia Mumford, was named Player of the Year for Livingston County.
