Battery Students Performance – Week of April 10th and 17th

Many students were on Easter vacation the week of April 10th; others went South with their schools and others were on vacation the week of April 17th.  And once again, because of the weather, many games were either postponed or cancelled.

  • Senior Isabelle Selvek went 2 for 3,  with a double, drew a walk and had three RBI for Greece Olympia.
  • Senior Grace Van Horn went 2-3, scored four runs and had one RBI for Union Springs.
  • Junior Sam Manioci went 2-3 and had two RBI for Greece Odyssey.
  • Junior pitcher Hunter Mazur went 2 for 2, with a double and scored two runs for Batavia. He also pitched a scoreless sixth inning.
  • Freshman catcher Lena Sassenhausen had two hits and scored two runs for Wayne JV.
  • Freshman Isabel Ross went 2 for 3, with a double, and had two RBI for Honeoye Falls-Lima.
  • Freshman Maya Blackwell pitched a whole game striking out six for Gates Chili. Senior Leah Buck and Hayley Dix had one RBI each.
  • Freshman Emily Phelan threw a perfect game for Bishop Kearney with sixteen strike outs; she also hit  triple. Senior Annie Heyen had one hit and one RBI.
  • Sophomore Marissa Glitzer went 3 for 3, scored four runs and had three RBI for Hilton.
  • Junior Sam Manioci had a hit and drew a walk for Greece Odyssey.
  • Seven grade catcher Montgomery Kessler had a hit, drew a walk and scored one run for Cal-Mum JV.
  • Senior Grace Van Horn pitched a full game striking our seventeen for Union Springs. Had two hits, including a triple and had one RBI. It was Grace’s 100th hit.
  • Sophomore catcher Alexis Raniewics had two hits, stole one base and had one RBI for Churchville Chili.
  • Junior Sydney Merritt hit a double, had two RBI ad scored one run for Finney.
  • Junior Sam Manioci went 4 for 4, drew two walks, scored three runs. stole four bases and had four RBI for Greece Odyssey.
  • Freshman catcher Lena Sassenhausen went 3 for 5, including a double, drew a walk, and scored three runs for Wayne JV.
  • Junior pitcher Hunter Mazur had two hits for Batavia.
  • Sophomore catcher Karlee Stone went 4 for 5, with a triple, stole one base, scored four runs and had two RBI for Brockport JV. Teammate Sydney Ignassak hit a double, drew a walk, had two RBI and scored two runs.
  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn went 4 for 5, with a grand slam and had five RBI for Union Springs.
  • Junior Tanner Richardson had a hit and one RBI for Cal-Mum
  • Freshman Dylan Broprey had three hits and one RBI for Hilton JV.
  • Sophomore Brooke Schmitt went 3 for 5 with four RBI for Hilton.
  • Senior Grace Van Horn threw a no hitter, striking out fifteen for Union Springs. She also had a hit.
  • Freshman catcher Lena Sassenhausen had one hit, one RBI and scored one run for Wayne JV.
  • Catcher Ashley Covert drove in the tying and winning run for Letchworth.

Coach T's strong and steady presence has always guided the Battery family and thousands of young people. We are sustained by the strength and peace of knowing he is now in God's loving hands. You are forever in our hearts and by our side.

The Battery's 33rd Anniversary

On March 2nd, 2016 The Battery celebrated its 33th anniversary of training champions.

As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to contribute to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of The Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
