Battery Students Performance – Week of April 3rd

Despite the rain, wind and snow, some schools were able to play. However, many games were cancelled or postponed.

  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn had thirteen strike outs at the mound for Union Springs. She also went 3-4 and had four RBI.
  • Senior outfielder Sam Coughlin had one hit and drove in the tying run for Spencerport.
  • Senior Ciera Moroz had one hit, drew two walks and scored two runs for Canandaigua. She stole home to give her team the lead.
  • Pitcher Hannah Rubinrott got the win for Cal-Mum. Teammate  Meghan Mietlicki had a double and a home run and five RBIs.
  • Junior Sam Manioci went 4 for 4, with six RBI and scored four runs for Greece Odyssey.
  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn toss a complete game striking out ten for Union Springs. She also had one hit and one RBI.
  • Freshman Ashley Covert drew three walks and scored three runs for Letchworth.
  • Sophomore pitcher Olivia Sciarabba toss a five hitter with seven strike outs. She also went 2 for 2.  Junior Alyssa Bolcato had two hits and one RBI.
  • Senior Leah Buck went 3 for  3 with two doubles and scored two runs for Gates Chili.
  • Senior pitcher Grace Van Horn had a shout out striking out fifteen for Union Springs. She also had one hit and one RBI.
  • Junior Meg Palmer went 2-4 with one RBI for Fairport.
  • Freshman pitcher Sydney Bolton tossed three innings for Webster Schroeder, striking out four.
  • Sophomore Nicole Gelb went 4 for 4 with two doubles for Harley Allendale Columbia.
  • Freshman second baseman Zack Cocking went 3 for 5 and had four RBI for Batavia Notre Dame.
  • Freshman Sam DeFilippo had one hit for Gates Chili.
  • Senior Meghan Mietlicki hit a home run and had three RBI for Cal-Mum.  Gillian Flint tripled, had one RBI and scored three runs.
  • Senior Kyle Carpino had two hits and two RBI for Cal-Mum.
  • Senior Mary Gaffney went 3 for 4 and had three RBI for Rush Henrietta.
  • Freshman pitcher Olivia Sciarabba had two hits, including a three-run home run, and had three RBI for Irondequoit. The HR was Olivia’s first! Junior Alyssa Bolcato had a double and one RBI.
  • Junior Meg Palmer had one hit for Fairport.
  • Sophomore pitcher Marissa Glitzer tossed three innings for Hilton, striking out two. She also had two hits.
  • Junior Sam Manioci had one hit for Greece Odyssey.
  • Sophomore Sydney Ignassak went 4 for 4 and scored three runs for Brockport JV.  Sophomore catcher Karlee Stone went 2 or 4, had two RBI and scored two runs.
  • Sophomore Alyssa Raniewicz had two hits and scored one run for Churchville Chili.

Coach T's strong and steady presence has always guided the Battery family and thousands of young people. We are sustained by the strength and peace of knowing he is now in God's loving hands. You are forever in our hearts and by our side.

The Battery's 33rd Anniversary

On March 2nd, 2016 The Battery celebrated its 33th anniversary of training champions.

As a small family owned and run business, we are proud to contribute to make reality the dreams of thousands of young people.

We are proud of The Battery students who through the years have signed with Division 1 colleges and universities; proud of those who signed professional contracts , and proud to have  a Battery-trained student in the major leagues.

We are proud of the lives we have touched and the friends we have made.
